The kea is a colourful and intelligent parrot inhabiting the alpine regions of New Zealand. They are predominantly olive green in colour with patterns of yellow and orange under their wings. Primary flight feathers also exhibit iridescent green colour. The native New Zealand kea is now listed as a threatened species.

This carving has been modelled from a kea flight feather, it measures 4o × 7 × 2 cm. It is made from native New Zealand matai timber and acrylic paint, a tri-ring is fitted on the rear for easy hanging indoors.

Not recommended for display in full sun or near heat, use a soft cloth to dust if necessary. See options for gifting.
