Carved from a piece of salvaged rimu this piece represents a feather from the iconic tūī bird of New Zealand. The Tūī is a vocal and energetic bird symbolising communication and vitality.
This piece measures 38 x 8 x 1 cm, and is painted with iridescent blue-green acrylic paint to replicate the iridescent sheen of the tūī.
Item is fitted with a tri-ring and is ready be wall hung indoors. A natural beeswax polish has been used to finish the carving, use a soft cloth to dust when necessary and avoid display in full sun or near heat.
