The rainbow lorikeet may be found in a wide range of habitats throughout Australia and on occassion, as an unwelcome resident, areas of New Zealand. Lorikeets are often seen in large, noisy and colourful flocks. They are small, vibrantly coloured parrots not adverse to sharing space with humans.

This carving of a rainbow lorikeet wing feather has been crafted from native New Zealand rimu timber and painted in acrylics. It measures 50 × 7 × 2cm and is fitted with a tri-ring for easy hanging indoors.

Carving best displayed away from direct sunlight and away from heat, may be dusted with a soft cloth when necessary. Finished with a beeswax polish. See options for gifting.
